Each year the Chamber hosts a variety of community, business and educational-based events.

The Annual Celebration-
This formal fundraising event, held every January, is a way for Chamber Members to come together and celebrate the achievements of the Chamber and its members. This is also when the Chamber presents the Lifetime Achievement in Business, Community Spirit and Leader in Business awards. Food, live music and fun fill the air throughout the evening as the Chamber and Community gathers together to celebrate the year in commerce!

Annual Business Meeting -
The Annual Meeting serves two purposes; as the monthly mixer and a Membership Meeting. At the meeting, current members with the Chamber are given presentations on the proposed budget for the New Year, the proposed Program of Work, and members that are in good standing have the opportunity to vote for the slated Board of Directors. Members will also receive an overview of past year's accomplishments. After the meeting, everyone will enjoy the typical happenings of a monthly mixer including light hors d'oeuvres and cocktails.

      Business Expo -
The Annual Business Expo allows our members to showcase their business to the community and to create lasting relationships with other businesses, potential customers & employees, and local students. Your participation in this event will give your business the spotlight that it deserves.

Eggs at Eight -
“Eggs at Eight” is an educational informal roundtable discussion that is held monthly by the Business and Education Committee of the Chamber. Located at a featured member’s business and focusing on topics prevalent to operating a business, this gathering is the perfect backdrop for our membership to enjoy educational topics, networking with other businesses, and creating long-lasting connections.

        Golf Tournament -
The Donald Brubaker Memorial Golf Tournament is held in September every year. This event is an opportunity for businesses to get out and enjoy business networking along with recreational fun as they play golf, enjoy the beauty of the lake and hillsides and converse in a casual fun atmosphere. Prepare for a full day of fun, friends, food and FORE!

Hall of Fame -
The “Hall of Fame,” first instituted in 1995 was established to “recognize and honor dedicated individuals who have unconditionally contributed their energy, commitment and persistence to achieving their vision for Schuyler County.” In that process, each member of the “Hall of Fame” has improved and enhanced life in Schuyler County for all. This event takes place in partnership with the Schuyler County Legislature.

July Fundraiser -
Not only is this the July mixer, but this event doubles as the Summer Fundraiser for the Chamber. Chamber members come together to enjoy the great weather, great food and great fun. The event is a fundraiser to support the Chamber's strategic plans, but is also
another example of our commitment to promote the business community and provide unique and meaningful opportunities for networking!

Monthly Mixers -
The monthly mixers, held once a month in members' businesses, are designed to assist member businesses in promoting their businesses, to provide networking opportunities that will result in new found business; and to offer interaction on a member-to-member business level.

New Member Breakfast -
With a brief presentation along with full breakfast buffet, this annual event highlights new Chamber members that have come on board throughout the past year. The event also serves as a networking opportunity to learn more about Chamber programs and benefits. There is no charge to attend the Breakfast for all new members, and all other members are invited to attend for a small fee.

Student Mentor Program -
One of the goals of the Business & Education Committee is to expose young adults to life skills intended to enhance their chances for success in the work environment and to provide adults the opportunity to meet and socialize with area business people. Therefore, this event hosted by the committee serves their mission by allowing students to understand what employment opportunities exist in our community, and teaching key skills to being a successful employee. The program is an investment in our future leaders!

Scholarship Program: With the proceeds earned from the Business Expo and Student-Mentoring Program, the Chamber is proud to have the opportunity to award three scholarships to a student in each graduating class of Bradford Central School, Odessa-Montour High School, and Watkins Glen High School. These scholarships are awarded to students who are further advancing their education.
